DESCRIPTION:
AMAZON RIVER : It is the world’s largest river and the lifeblood of the world’s largest ecosiytem, spanning two-fifths of an entire continent. Its called The River Sea. Running about 4,000 miles (6,400 kilometers), most sources regard the Amazon as the second longest river in length, compared to Africa’s Nile river, though this is a matter of some dispute.
MISMI: It is a 5,597 masl (18,363 ft) mountain peak of volcanic origin located in the Chila mountain range in the Andes of Peru. A glacial stream on the Mismi was firmly identified as the most distant source of the Amazon River in 1996; this finding was confirmed in 2001 and again in 2007.
COLCA CANYON: It is a Canyon of the Costa River in southern Peru, Its 4160 meters deep, it is one of the deepest in the world. The Colca Valley is a colorful Andean valley with pre- Inca roots, and towns founded in Spanish colonial times, still inhabited by people of the Collagua and the Cabana cultures. The local people maintain their ancestral traditions and continue to cultivate the pre-Inca stepped terraces.
ITINERARY:
1st day:
06:00 Hrs. We start our trip in Arequipa in our private transportation ( 4 X 4 ), we will stop in the route to appreciate the landscape, Vicuñas (they have the finest fiber in the world), Lamas and Alpacas (domestics), we will have another stop in a Restaurant where we are going to drink a Coca Tea, its excellent for the mountain illness, after that we will stop in the highest point (4910 masl) Lunch in Chivay and we can go the Condor Cross, we are going to stop in the view points to appreciate all the Valley and the Canyon, we come back to Chivay, hotel and dinner ( optional : Folkloric show)
2nd day:
07:00 Hrs. Breakfast and we leave to The Mismi mountain to appreciate the source of the Amazon River, we are going to be 02 hours in this fascinating place of the Andes, our snack and we come back to Arequipa and we will be in the Hotel in Arequipa at 17:00 Hrs.
