LIMA – ICA – AREQUIPA – PUNO – CUSCO 14 DAYS

Day 1: Lima. International Airport. Hotel.

City tour and places to visit:

Bolivar square.
Main square and the cathedral.
San Francisco catacumbs.
Huaca Pucllana.
Larco museum.

Day 2: Lima – Paracas – Ica.

We leave the hotel at 05:00 hrs. and we continue to Paracas to visit the Ballestas island where there are many kind of marine wildlife, it´s better to do it at 09:00 hrs. because later is windy and so difficult for the boat. Then we will visit Paracas National Reserve. We continue to Ica to visit the wine process and to visit the Huacachina, the Oasis where we will have a buggy to be in the dunes and also a sandboarding. Dinner and Hotel.

Day 3: Ica – Nazca.

We are going to Nazca and we will visit

Cantalloc acueducts (pre inca underground water canals)
Palpa geoglyphs, many huge figures in the hills.
Maria Reich museum.
Cahuachi, it’s a pre inca sand town.
Ceramic process, where its to see the ancient skills to elaborate many kind of ceramics.

Dinner and hotel.

Day 4: Nazca to Arequipa.

At 07:00 hrs we leave the hotel and we will go to the airport to take a fly to appreciate the mysterious Nazca Lines, then we will visit a pre inca cemetery Chauchilla, Sacaco Museum (where there are rest wales bones) and we continue to Arequipa, we will arrive at 21:00 hrs. Hotel.

Day 5: Arequipa city tour.

At 10:00 or later we will visit:

Santa Catalina Monastery.
Cathedral and main square.
Jesuits church.
San Camilo local market.
Santuarios Andinos Museum, Juanita mummy.

Day 6: Arequipa to Colca Canyon. This is a 02 days tour. There are many tours (1, 2, 3 days), they start very early.

At 07:30 hrs. we start our trip and we will stop in many places to appreciate the beautiful Andean landscape:

National Reserve where it is possible to see the Vicuñas (wild camelids), Lamas, Alpacas, viewpoints, small Andean towns, Sabancaya active volcano, The highest point (4910 masl), Hot springs.

Day 7: Colca Canyon and to Puno.

Places to visit:

Colca Valley, viewpoints, small towns, the Canyon, Condor cross (to see the Condors), pre inca Terraces. Lunch and we continue to Puno (18:00 hrs Hotel).

Day 8: This is 02 days tour:

Uros,Amantani and Taquile Islands (Titicaca lake). Staying with local families in Amantani.

Day 9: Taquile to Puno. We will be in Puno at 15:00 hrs.

Day 10: Puno to Cusco.

08:00 hrs. we continue to Cusco city, we will stop in some places to appreciate the old buildings:

Pucara. Arqueological place and town.
La Raya: It’s the highest point in the route. 4335 masl.
Raqchi: Wiracocha’s temple, one of most Inca sacred sites.
Andahuaylillas church: The best colonial decoration and painted interior church in Peru.

Hotel in Cusco and the evening is free to explore the city, nightlife and excellent restaurants.

Day 11: City tour, 04 hours.

Excellent arqueological monuments built by the Inca empire.

Qoricancha temple, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca pucara and Tambomachay.

return to the hotel.

Day 12: Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour.
Places to visit:

Pisac Town.
Chinchero Town.
Urubamba town.
Ollantaytambo where it´s the hotel.

Day 13: Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes.

We are going to take the train to Aguas Calientes then the touristic bus to reach Machu pichu and after to spend some hours we will come back to Aguas calientes town and to Ollantaytambo or Cusco.

Day 14: Free day in Cusco and transfer to the airport. Cusco to Lima.

It´s possible to add another day or other places you like, we are so flexible.
